Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and Electromyography are specialized diagnostic tests which are used to diagnose neuromuscular diseases of the human body. Symptoms of numbness, tingling, weakness, and pain, are all indications for NCS & EMG diagnostic testing. These medical studies are able to interpret common disorders, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, radiculopathy, and diabetic neuropathy, as well as more complex neurologic and muscular illnesses.

NCS & EMG studies require specially trained and certified technologists and physicians to administer the test as well as interpret and analyze the results for proper diagnosis. Due to the specific nature of these diagnostic examinations, most rural or undersized healthcare organizations are unable to offer these services to their patients. This results in increased out-of-network referrals to larger, unfamiliar healthcare associations, commonly, in unaccustomed big cities.
